Calling All Christians
Pastor Duane - 06/16/09

Today I seem to hear all the time the problems and obstacles that people have and the reliance on the government, the companies and even other people to fix these problems. I even hear that a great number of things are the Christians communities fault or at least our shortcomings. Then I see that the majority of people say that they believe themselves to be Christians. GIVE ME A BREAK. So I am not addressing all of those people in this particular blog. Instead I would like to call all Christians that truly have Jesus Christ as their Lord and Savior. I know you are out there, I know you have faith, I know you are busy and I know our community, country and world need us now more than ever. Our church right now seems to be going through a person prosperity phase and I think that it has been great. We need to know how God will keep, protect, provide for us as individuals and we need to know these things so that we can get to work carrying on the ministry of Christ. We as a people need to get together, not my church or my ministry or your church or you ministry or my denomination or your denomination, not even my culture or your culture but all of us. We need to get to work using our gifts and abilities together. We need to get to work and get together using our prayers to intercede on behalf of all of those that do not know Christ. We need to get to work and get together spreading the Gospel anywhere and everywhere, that God would reveal Himself through us. The miracle is in the people. God chooses people for ministry and we need to get to work showing people the graciousness and mercy and love that God has showed us so that we are that light the brings people to a place of true repentance and relationship. It’s time to go out, call out and cry out. It’s all of us together. Each and every person has the ability to connect with other people in a unique and purposeful way. As Christians we are endowed with gifts that enhance that ability in connecting to bring God’s people back under His authority and covering. So let’s get started, let’s work together and use our gifts to encourage, empower, and lead the lost into the safety, joy and knowledge of Christ.
